How It Works

Waste disposal — a significant expense

Refineries in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait allocate between 2% and 4% of their operating costs to waste management annually. These expenses include transportation, treatment, and compliance with environmental regulations. Additionally, landfill disposal contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and wastes valuable resources.

Waste-to-biofuel transformation

Oil2Bio installs modular units in refineries that convert up to 80% of waste into high-quality biofuel. This process requires no initial investment from the refinery and integrates seamlessly without disrupting existing operations. Oil2Bio’s advanced technology ensures efficient conversion, reducing environmental impact while generating a valuable product.

Revenue generation and carbon credits

The biofuel produced is sold to clients across Europe and Asia, including sectors such as aviation, metallurgy, and logistics. Participating refineries share profits, with potential revenues ranging from $700 to $1,000 per ton of biofuel. In addition, certified carbon credits are generated, which can be sold between $20 and $100 per ton of CO₂, delivering added value and supporting ESG compliance.

Waste Collection & Refinery Assessment

We begin by identifying and evaluating the types of wasete generated by the refinery. Our team conducts a tecfiical and economic assessment to determine the conversion potential and the optimal on-site setup, ensuring miniral disruption to the refinery’s operations.

On-Site Biodiesel Conversion

Once approved, we deploy our modular conversion unit directly at the refinery. This unit transforms the collected petroleum residues into i gig-grade biodiesel using a sustainal-ble and certified process – all without requiring CAPEX from the refinery.
